Learning, Giving, Contributing
Chancellor Wythe Chapter NSDAR is on the go!! In addition to our regular meetings, we also make the most out of living in one of the most history-rich states by taking short day-trips to historic sites.
As we learn more about the men and women who were making history hundreds of years ago, we begin to strengthen our ability to teach others. We also find that our passion grows for history and for understanding how this great nation was founded.
On December 14th, the chapter took a field trip to Tuckahoe Plantation for a tour of the main house and a portion of the grounds. Although damp and a bit chilly, it was an exciting and fact-filled morning!
On October 14th, Chancellor Wythe ladies joined hundreds of people to dedicate the Virginia Women’s Monument at the Richmond, Virginia Capitol.
Our 2019-2020 program year began with a visit from Mr. James Madison! We also commemorated Constitution week and began collecting items for veterans.
In April, we auctioned themed food baskets. The proceeds went to the DAR library!
